Design Concept Complete

This scheme has enabled the studio to use materials to push the contextual fabric to its fullest capabilities. Chingford Mount is essentially two apartments broken into the landscape and is designed with its massing in mind; in an attempt to create a subtle continuation of the current street boundary.

Due to the slope which it is built on, this means that the studio had to maximise space without disturbing the existing landscape, whilst still ensuring that it is incorporated in the landscape from a street level and from a sectional form. The stepdown of the structure reacts to the symmetry of the stepdown of the landscape.

The design of this is to ensure a modern family can enjoy a spacious layout and contemporary lifestyle, whilst also creating an engaging environment.
