Harmony unfolds at the outskirts of Balsham, where Osie House stands as a testament to the seamless integration of restoration and cutting-edge architecture, nestled in the embrace of the countryside. Operating under the coveted Paragraph 80 designation, Osie House transcends conventional norms, pushing the boundaries of architectural quality and innovation in the UK.

Introduction

Osie House, a multigenerational home, unfolds its narrative in the idyllic countryside, inviting residents into a living symphony of past and present. The essence of Paragraph 80 underscores not only the architectural standards but also the commitment to sustainability that permeates every facet of this residence.

Approach

Our approach is rooted in the seamless integration of architecture with the undulating landscape, where Osie House emerges as a structural gem submerged in nature’s canvas. Delving into the rich history of the Osier Willow cottage industry, our proposal is a celebration of time, creating a sense of place that harmonises architecture with the surrounding landscape. Balsham, already steeped in architectural and historical significance, welcomes a new chapter in its story, marked by the restoration of natural beauty and the introduction of an exciting architectural feature

For a scheme which pushes the boundaries of architecture in the region, it has been important to engage with the local community and develop simultaneously with the culture of the area.
