Laveno Mombello, Italy
“All grown-ups were once children, although few of them remember it.” – Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince
The redesign of derelict former pottery of Laveno Mombello. This brief offered a fascinating challenge – to design a space of exploration, of limitless opportunity, and to allow for an extraordinary adventure. It would act as a space that would function for play for children, but to also enable adults and carers to feel catered to.
Our concept worked to explore the beautiful structure, pay homage to its history, and to inevitably become another universe for children to enjoy.
